We are all unique individuals.
With this in mind, I focus on getting to know someone & appreciating them for who they are. It’s essential.
It is important to appreciate that we are all unique. We all have different way of looking at something, different experiences, different goals and different concerns that we may explore.
I partner with people in an approach that emphasizes positive psychology, combined with working in the here & now, incorporating mindfulness, cognitive behavioral health and behavior modification and at times coaching.
What is individual therapy?
Individual therapy is an opportunity for self exploration and progress. We will work to understand where you are in life, where you want to be, and steps that you are comfortable taking to help you get there. Understanding who you are, being happy with yourself, finding balance and appreciation all may be part of your goals. The beauty of individual therapy is that it’s for you and up to you.
There are many reasons why someone might want to begin therapy. Generally, the reason for most calls can be attributed to: feeling upset about a sudden change in life (emotional or physical), a desire to make a change in life (personal or professional) a desire to improve a relationship with a partner, child, parent or friend. Regardless of the reason ….it’s an opportunity to get to know yourself in another way and work towards being all that you want to be.
I work with people alone, one on one, with a partner, with a family member, while dating, engaged, newly married or married for while, and those wanting to start to a family.
Sometimes we enter into therapy when we are feeling very sad, or upset, depressed, confused, anxious, out of sorts. Through this rough time and allowing yourself the gift of exploration you are able to work towards having the life you want.
